I am a Consulting Structural Engineer and sole proprietor of the business, Peter A Hodson. My qualifications include an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering and I am a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and have Chartered Engineer status.

Following training with local Structural Engineers, Wells Shackleton Partnership where I initially commenced working in 1976, I started the company Peter A Hodson in June 1988.

My experience to date has been in assessing subsidence claims for insurance companies, preparing Structural Survey reports on buildings for mortgage purposes and inspecting structural defects. I have also prepared structural design and details for new buildings both domestic and commercial, together with alterations to existing ones.

I have also acted as an Expert Witness and have provided structural advice on several claims, some of which have proceeded to Court.
